Property Inspections/Smoke Testing
Property inspections / Smoke testing is a method of inspecting sewer main lines and laterals to determine the sources of inflow and infiltration in the sewer network.
Before smoke testing takes place, all properties on the main line are visually inspected for defects such as broken pipes, low O.R.G’s (overflow relief gully) or direct storm water connections. Once completed and reported on, the smoke testing can begin.
Smoke testing is a relatively simple process that consists of blowing smoke mixed with large volumes of air into the sewer line. The smoke travels the path of least resistance and quickly shows up at sites that allow surface water inflow.
Smoke will identify defective manholes, illegal connections including roof drains, sump pumps and yard drains, uncapped lines and even will show cracked mains and laterals. Smoke travels throughout the system, identifying problems in all connected lines—even sections of line that were not known to exist or thought to be independent or unconnected.
CCTV Inspections
CCTV Inspections are carried out to ascertain the condition and service ability of sewer/storm water networks. This is important in the maintenance of the system as it will discover any potential hazards before it becomes a disaster.
FlowPro can also carry out CCTV on newly established sewer and stormwater lines for new subdivisions.
FlowPro is equipped with state of the art camera systems as well as push rod cameras. We are able to inspect pipelines ranging in diameter of 100mm up to 1600mm.
Our reporting software is up to date and in accordance with the requirements of WSA 05-2008 Conduit Inspection Reporting Code of Australia.
High Pressure Jet Cleaning
High Pressure (HP) Jet Cleaning is also an important part of maintaining the sewer network.
It is carried out for regular maintenance services to ensure free-flowing lines and to prevent the occurrence of smells and gases that can cause corrosion, to clear blockages and to prepare lines for inspection or rehabilitation.
FlowPro is equipped with a jet truck capable of cleaning pipes from 100mm to 3000mm using 2200 psi at 315 lmp.
Manhole Rehabilitation
In the sewer network system, biogenic corrosion caused by hydrogen sulphide (H2S) highly deteriorates sewer infrastructures destroying up to 25mm of concrete per year and causing structural loss.
FlowPro uses a high-strength CAC corrosion resistant product, to coat new or existing manhole structures.
FlowPro’s team of sewer network specialists can provide a cost effective service to rehabilitate and protect your sewer infrastructures.
Manhole Inspections
Manhole Inspections are an important part of maintaining the sewer network system. The purpose of an inspection is to determine the structural integrity and service ability of the manhole by reporting on any defects such as gas attack, cracks/fractures, holes, infiltration sites, tree roots, blockages etc.
